We sell authentic handmade products from Turkey, some of which are sourced from various regions of Turkey by ‘Silk Route’(see below), and some, which are made by a local village womens collective near Izmir (see below). The products include silk pashminas, hand knitted shawls, silk scarves, lanterns, leather pouffes, lamps, and jewellery.

We also organise themed party nights. If you would like to host a party, as the host you will get 15% of the total amount your friends spend on the night and a free gift. We will supply the ambience (including the merchandise, music, and food recipes).

The Yeni Koy Women's Co-op came into being out of sheer necessity. Yeni Koy is a village that has no employment opportunities for women (and indeed men!) other than seasonal agricultural labour such as olive picking which demands back-breaking effort for a long day at a going rate of less than five pounds - a day. Anne, a Scottish woman who lived in the village for many years recalls: "Having lived in the village under the same circumstances as most of the women, I discovered that it was impossible to improve one's situation on an individual basis - hence the joint effort. Our main need, quite unashamedly, is to make money as very little can be achieved without resources. However, through our communal enterprise and the connections we hope to forge, we aim to broaden horizons, offer opportunities, (particularly for young people), raise awareness of health, safety and the environment, educate, provide skills and generally improve the welfare of the village and its inhabitants."
